We worked with Amgen for over a decade managing clinical trial recruitment and guiding communications through Epogen and Neupogen launches for what has become the world's largest biotech company.
Tooth brushes wear out. Who knew? We worked with Oral-B to build consumer awareness about the oral health dangers of "bad brushing" to then build demand for Oral-B's Indicator Tooth Brushes which showed consumers when it was time to get a new brush. Plus an important reminder - visit your dentist!
Mentor Corporation was the world's leading developer breast implants. But when crisis over the efficacy of these devices hit the industry and FDA hearings were held we kept most of the stories and plaintiff lawsuits deflected to Dow Corning, the perceived leader. Mentor settled its regulatory and legal issues and became the leader in providing reconstruction to women following breast cancer surgery, and products for aesthetic plastic surgery. With its valuation augmented not diminished by years of crisis management, Mentor successfully merged with Johnson & Johnson.
When Covid-19 began to rapidly spread through nursing homes in the greater Los Angeles area the healthcare workers in these facilities -- from nurses to janitors -- began to get infected and bring those infections home to families. We formed a coalition of companies to offer housing to healthcare workers in nearly empty hotels near impacted hospitals and nursing homes. Workers were able to stay safely using Whistle, our client marketing a touch free checkin/checkout service with housing vouchers provided by our client National Community Renaissance which develops and manages workforce housing projects.
We have worked to launch products and manage issues for a number for food, agriculture and energy clients including Nestle for it's David Sunflower and Carnation divisions; Ventura Foods for its Dean's Dip; the State of California Agricultural Districts; Limoneira; and BHP Billiton, Australia's largest company with a plan to bring LNG to California. During Covid-19 we found that the media was overwhelmed by the amount of news on the emerging virus and many of the stories were global or national. We jumped in with a weekly news and variety show to feature local experts and elected officials who could update local audiences tuning in on Facebook Live and YouTube. The scary news was interrupted by interludes of music performed by local artists starving for income during the pandemic driven economy. Advertisers and donors paid the bills and the musicians.
